The heart will not follow until the mind is fully yielded. If there’s doubt in your mind, then you can’t fully give your heart to Christ. If you don’t have a made up mind, forget trying to get your heart to align with God’s will.
We serve God with our mind. Matthew 22:37
“Follow your heart”….. But the heart is deceitful. Jeremiah 17:9
Matthew 22:37 ” Love, the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
Can’t even give God your heart until the mind has been renewed. Romans 12:2
The mind can know that you’re free, but the heart makes you act like you’re still bound. When the children of Israel left egypt and were in the wilderness and wanted to go back to what was familiar. Exodus 14:10-14 . The heart longs for what’s familiar.
Fear can cause a disconnect between the heart and the mind. Head knowledge, but never makes it to the heart to actually live it out and manifest it. This causes people to become religious.
ALL OF YOU TO CHRIST: Heart, mind, body. All of us needs to be touched by Christ. You can’t let him touch your mind, but then hide your heart from him. Not if you want to experience true transformation in your walk with Christ.
Matthew 6:21 “Where your treasure is, there your heart shall be also.” ( Paraphrase)
What you seek after tell us what you value. Just because you know something in your heart doesn’t mean you want to agree in your heart.
Psalm 73:26 – The heart and flesh will fail you. But if God is your strength then your foundation can be sure. Can’t have true peace with God until your heart and mind agree.
Philippians 4:7 Sometimes it seems like its a long trip from your heart to catch up with your mind.
Psalms 26:2 Our hearts and minds need constant examining by Christ.
When your heart and mind are not on one accord with God’s will it causes you to be double-minded. Double-minded people are unstable. James 1:8
If God says it, move forward and trust him. Don’t give yourself the opportunity to look back and linger longer than needed.
Hebrews 11:15 if you allow your heart to think on former things, that’s where your mind will stay.
Ephesians 4:22-24 Can’t get a new heart, until the mind is fully surrendered.
